Vision

To provide or fund programs, not included in the WCPSS district budget, that will enhance learning opportunities for students and/or educational training and resources available to educators in areas including, but not limited to, academics, the arts, technology and enrichment.

Mission

The Apex Public School Foundation is an independent, nonprofit, volunteer organization whose mission is to create and maintain a fund for the benefit of all students enrolled in Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) schools located in Apex, North Carolina.

Objectives

To promote creativity, innovation and collaboration within the WCPSS schools located in Apex by

  • Awarding raised funds to innovative programs and projects proposed by teachers and faculty in a formal grant submission and acceptance process
  • Maintaining and creating programs that align with evidenced-based practices in education and instructional design.
  • Supporting the WCPSS Strategic Plan
  • Increasing the Apex area community‚Äôs awareness of, support of and involvement with the public schools.
